A large and a smaller room will be available starting August 1st in an awesome location (Spring Arts) with a pretty laid back and great roommate.
The Rooms
The first room is about 11ft x17ft and is on the third floor of a recently renovated townhouse in a nice, up and coming area of the city. There is a considerably sized armoire included with plenty of three pronged outlets, high speed internet hookup, and cable. Nice view of Center City buildings from room. Hardwood flooring through out apartment. The second room($550 ) is slightly smaller with a beautiful exposed brick interior. It contains an armoire and a dresser and bookshelf(if needed) as well.
The Apartment
Overall house is gorgeous- semi spiral staircase (very easy to move furniture up!) 9ft ceilings and six foot windows and original hardwood flooring throughout. House has a very clean and huge bathroom with double sinks, vanity lighting, tub/shower, and exposed brick. Downstairs is a large common room that encompasses the kitchen, dining, and living area. It includes a dishwasher, microwave, stove, double sink with garbage disposal, and outlet for cable TV. Washer and dryer are on premise in the basement which provides storage space as well.
The Neighborhood
House is located in Springs Arts area which is progressing to emulate the Northern Liberties area which is a few blocks down. The apartment is 2 blocks north of Spring Garden and makes for an excellent centerpoint between Northern Liberties and the Art Museum area. Fairmont Park is about a 10 minute jog away. A terrific local bar is a minute walk and boasts an exceptional beer selection- http://www.institutebar.com/
The area is safe, friendly and diverse. Street parking is always available; either right in front of the house, or next to it. I95 is easy to get to any morning of the week. There is ample public transportation including the broad street subway, the route 23 bus, and a bus that goes to Roxborough/Manyunk are within blocks. Cabbies constantly travel the street as well. The house is also literally within walking distance to Center city, Chinatown, Temple University, Philadelphia Community College. Close to subway stop and Reading Terminal Market.
** The environment is very friendly, clean and easy going, so please think of this as your home! Utilities run roughly $70-120 a month depending on gas usage in the winter time. This figure includes gas, electric, and cable. Water is included.
